Support my ride against Diabetes in the 2008 Tour de Cure!
Hello and welcome! On May 17th and 18th this year a decision was made to compete in a cycling race for the Tour de Cure's 160 mile circuit in support of Diabetes.
I've been riding a bicycle daily since December of 2007 and organized a few rides through a local social networking group with a culminating ride being a 68 mile ride to San Marcos and back. A member of that site asked me if that was for the Tour de Cure and I responded "What is that?" She explained it to me, I did some research and signed up to compete in the 160 mile race. Some call it just a ride, but I like to compete so I'll just call it a race against myself. :) I'm competing because I've been blessed with good health all through my life yet many of my age group (under 30) are not of good health and do suffer from this disease. Is there not a nobler cause than helping those who cannot help themselves?
Please support me with a donation by selecting the "Click Here to Sponsor Me" link. Our efforts will help set the pace in the fight against diabetes. So let's get in gear and bike to beat diabetes!
Help Make a Difference!
Pedal power works!
Each mile of the 160 that I will ride, each dollar raised will be used in the fight to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
No matter how small or large, your generous gift will help improve the lives of more than 20 million Americans and countless more around the world who suffer from diabetes, in the hope that future generations can live in a world without this disease. Together, we can all make a difference!
I've been blessed with good health and would like to do my best to pass than onto someone who is not so fortunate. Thank you for making a generous contribution to this cause that is so important to so many millions of people around the world.
