Kiss A Pig
Bankers Life Fieldhouse

Would you Kiss a Pig to Stop Diabetes?

Join the American Diabetes Association in a fun and wacky celebration of progress in the fight to Stop Diabetes on Monday, April 16, 2012, during the Indiana Pacers game at Banker's Life Fieldhouse.

The purpose of Kiss a Pig is threefold:                                                                        KAP Cropped

  • To increase public awareness about diabetes and the American Diabetes Association
  • To encourage prompt diagnosis and proper treatment of diabetes
  • To raise funds to support the American Diabetes Association's research, education services and advocacy programs

Candidates will compete and raise funds for the American Diabetes Association. The candidate who brings home the most bacon will pucker up and kiss a real, live piglet at center court during half time!

Why a pig?

It's our way of expressing gratitude to the pig for its life-saving role as one of the first sources of insulin.  Since 1921, insulin has played a major role in the treatment of diabetes for millions of people who suffer from this disease.
