 Por Tu Familia 2011 Conferencia Educativa (For Your Family Conference) - Diabetes: Prevencio, Riesgos y Tratamientos (Diabetes: Prevention, Risks and Treatment)The day's activities will include a key note presentation, interactive bilingual educational workshops presented by physicians, nurses, and diabetes educators.  Other opportunities will include: free health screenings, health information and resources, educational materials, exercise/dance activities and demonstrations, refreshments, giveaways, and prizes.

Las actividades del día incluirá una presentación de nota clave, talleres interactivos bilingües  presentado por médicos, enfermeras y especialistas de la diabetes. Adicionales servicios incluyen:  gratis exámenes de salud, recursos y informaction de salud, materiales educativos, demonstraciones y atividades de danza y ejercicios comida, regalos y premios.

For Health Care Professionals!

Health Care Professionals are vital in the life of all people at risk for or affected by diabetes.  Several exciting opportunities exist for you to benefit both yourself and your patients at the American Diabetes Association Por Tu Familia Community Workshop Series and Conferencia.

• Promote the Por Tu Familia Educational Programs to your patients.  Send brochures to your patient mailing list and have posters and Rx pads available in your office.
• Offer to meet your patients at the Por Tu Familia Educational Workshops and meet them afterward for a lively discussion about what they learned at each workshop.
• Participate as a volunteer workshop presenter or exhibit partner.
