Volunteer with the American Diabetes Association at the “Great Minnesota Get Together”! Various shifts are available to volunteer at our State Fair Booth located in the Education Building. Help us promote the ADA’s events and programs, while distributing diabetes information. All volunteers receive an entrance ticket to get into the fair. Click here for more information. The annual Diabetes EXPO which will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The EXPO is free for participants to attend and includes health screenings, cooking demonstrations, product and service exhibitors, as well as leading experts talking about diabetes management and prevention. Participants get the latest information on preventing and managing diabetes while learning how to live healthy, be active, and change the future of diabetes. Click here for more information. Volunteer with STEP OUT WALK to STOP DIABETES: The Annual Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes is coming up on Saturday, October 27th on the beautiful General Mills Campus. We are looking for fun, energetic volunteers to help in various areas from event set up, to registration, and cheering on the participants that morning. It's an incredibly fun morning, and we need someone just like you to contribute to this event. And if you would like to join in the walk, you can do that as well!
