The American Diabetes Association’s Gala Committee is looking for volunteers to participate on our planning committee. Join us for a no strings attached Happy Hour to learn more about how you can help! Rojo Mexican Grill, St. Louis Park, August 2, 5pm-7pm. Volunteer with the American Diabetes Association at the “Great Minnesota Get Together”! Various shifts are available to volunteer at our State Fair Booth located in the Education Building. The annual Diabetes EXPO which will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm at the Minneapolis Convention Center.  The EXPO is free for participants to attend and includes health screenings, cooking demonstrations, product and service exhibitors, as well as leading experts talking about diabetes management and prevention.  Participants get the latest information on preventing and managing diabetes while learning how to live healthy, be active, and change the future of diabetes.  Click here for more information.  If you’re interested in volunteering, please visit https://diabetesmn.wufoo.com/forms/diabetes-expo/ to complete a Volunteer Interest Form. Volunteer with STEP OUT WALK to STOP DIABETES:  The Annual Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes is coming up on Saturday, October 27th on the beautiful General Mills Campus.  We are looking for fun, energetic volunteers to help in various areas from event set up, to registration, and cheering on the participants that morning.  It's an incredibly fun morning, and we need someone just like you to contribute to this event.  And if you would like to join in the walk, you can do that as well!  Click here to sign up for your volunteer opportunity and do your part to help stop diabetes!  Questions?  Contact one of volunteer coordinators: Katie Fahnel at healing@thehealingloftmpls.com or Pam Koerner at pamko@lupient.com.  We have a fun crew and would love you to be part of it!
