What is Community Health Charities? Community Health Charities Minnesota (CHCM) is an affiliate of Community Health Charities of America, the leading workplace giving organization in the country dedicated to improving lives affected by chronic illness.  In Minnesota over 30 member chronic disease charities, including the American Diabetes Association receive funding from CHCM’s workplace giving campaign.  In the past, the United Way campaigns often included the American Diabetes Association and other chronic disease associations.  That is no longer the case.  If you have a giving program at your workplace, ask if they can include Community Health Charities Minnesota.  Designate the American Diabetes Association through your workplace-giving program.  Contact Susan Klimek for more details at

Spotlight on Volunteer, Deb Alexander

The American Diabetes Association is very fortunate to have Deb as part of our Volunteer Family.  She has been a volunteer in the American Diabetes Association Minnesota office for three years.  She uses her personal time to help us, and in turn, the ADA also receives a check, once a year, from her employer, for the hours she spends working in our office.  To learn more about Deb Alexander or how you can volunteer.
