Follow the Route of Fundraising
Have you ever wondered where your fundraising dollars go? Your dollars raised here in Ohio go towards vital research and advocacy for Northeast Ohioans affected by diabetes.
There are currently 8 Research Projects in Ohio being funded by the American Diabetes Association in excess of $1.6 million. Institutions currently receiving funding from the ADA include The Cleveland Clinic, Case Western Reserve University, and The Ohio State University. The research conducted focuses on complications related to both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes as well as research being done on obesity.
Advocating for those affected by diabetes in Northeast Ohio is inherent in our Mission. Our Safe at School program provides training and resources that ensure children living with diabetes have the support they need to manage their diabetes while maintaining the freedom to self manage while at school. The ADA continually advocates for the rights and protection of people living with diabetes celebrating the passing of Ohio House Bill 188 last month. The bill allows pharmacists the power to dispense lifesaving medication in emergency situations. This safeguards access to insulin and other vital medication for people living with diabetes.

3. Rest for one minute
4. Pedal for 20 seconds at medium intensity, about 60 percent of your max
5. Rest one minute
6. Pedal for 30 seconds at low intensity, about 30 percent of your max
7. Rest for one minute
8. Repeat five times
