Learning how close to home diabetes can hit.

A story from close friends: Wife Nancy is one of 7: 2 have died and all remaining but Nancy are treating diabetes. Both her parents died diabetics. She is the only one who tried to prevent the disease with diet and exercise, and we have been blessed so far.

Personal story: My wife's family has several members fighting diabetes- her mother and several of her siblings face this disease every day.

This is why I ride for this cause- hopefully a cure can be found so we don't lose any more of our loved ones.
