Hannah was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes on April 4, 2005...

Hannah is 4 years old. She was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes on April 4th 2005. Hannah's Heroes is a team made up of Hannah's family and closest friends. She is so excited about the walk in November. We have already started raising money by asking for donation and putting piggy banks at local retailers. All those pennies will really add up. We also plan to have a bake sale using splenda instead of sugar and sell BBQ plates. Hannah tells everyone she is raising money for research or in her words, so she won't have to get shots anymore. She is now down to just one injection a day. Hannah is the most optimistic person I have ever seen. She doesn't let diabetes stop her or get her down. For such a little person she has faith to move mountains. I know if she can win the fight against diabetes any one can. We wish the best to all those living with this disease and hope to see them all at the walk in November.
