To help others avoid our pain

Our family is walking this year in honor and memory of Tony, my husband and our kids' Dad.

Our family is walking this year in honor and memory of Tony, my husband and our kids' Dad. This incredible man fought valiantly against diabetes since he was diagnosed with Type II in 1994 until his death in December of 2004. He was determined to outlive the disease and was looking forward to the advances that are being made in the search for a cure becoming reality. His reality was being insulin dependent (via pump), heart disease and neuropathy. Even in the midst of his worst days, his goal was to see his kids live healthy, happy lives free from worry about this disease which has claimed both his parents and one sibling. We carry on his dream by walking this year and every year until a cure is found.
