My Hero  My Hero My son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 4... My son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 4. That was 2 1/2 years ago. This will be our second year to do the walk and raise money for a good cause. Our son tells us that when he grows up he would like to be a Doctor so he can find a cure for diabetes. So he can help all the children and adults who have this disease. We are doing this walk for him and his grandparents whom have Type 2 diabetes. My son has not lost his spirit. You couldn't tell that he has this disease by the way he is very compasionate, loving, caring for others and just by being himself. He is our Hero. We love you very much - your mother, father, and brother. |
