A Hard Time

I'm 12 and I've had type 1 diabetes since I was 5.

My name is Sami and I'm 12. I've had and Have Type 1 Diabetes since I was 5 and now that I'm older and have more stuff going on it's way harder to live with Diabetes. I'm not testing as much as I should and I don't really wait to eat if my blood is high. I had/have an insulin pump but I'm allergic to the adhesive on the infusion sets. Right now I'm on shots while my body rests and I can't go back on the pump for a while. I walk not just for myself but for one of my teachers, and friends from Diabetes Camp, and for everyone else that has/will get Diabetes. They are so close right now to a cure that being a Diabetic myself feels worse than them not being even close because it's so close but so far away. The more money we earn the more money goes to find a cure. That's why I walk.
