For many years, I watched as my father battled diabetes.

For many years, I watched as my father battled diabetes. I watched as my mother lost him bit by bit. First his clear mind from small strokes, then his artist's eyesight, a triple bypass followed, then Dad lost his mobility because of neuropathy. Finally, his body just gave up. Too young.
