Our daughter Veronica

In January 2006, my previously perfectly healthy daughter, Veronica, got what seemed to be the flu. By the time we realized that something was horribly wrong a few days later, she was unable to move, stand, or talk. She was diagnosed with type 1 and spent a week at Hershey Medical Center. Those memories still are fresh in my mind while I watch her dance classes and other activities that she enjoys. We fight for her, and hope that a cure will some day be found.
