In October 2006 I lost my life long and best friend to complications of Brittle Diabetes

I purchased my ID necklace not only because both my hubby and I are T2 but in honor of my best friend who lost her life recently from complications of life-long T1 diabetes. Every time I look at that necklace I will remember how valiantly she fought this disease for over 40 years and how much she went thru including 2 heart attacks, open heart surgery, several neuropathies and developing brittle diabetes. She always had a smile on her face and we were there for each other throughout our 57 year friendship. So in honor of Debby, I decide to fight this disease as hard as she did.
