Sid Seruntine

Owner
Sid Seruntine Studios, LLC

Sid Seruntine is a long-time supporter of the American Diabetes Association and himself lives with type 1 diabetes. After receiving his diagnosis in 1993, Sid decided that his diabetes would not hinder his ability to lead a full life. As a member and eventual coach of the local Team Diabetes marathon training group, Sid completed 6 marathons to raise funds for and more importantly awareness about diabetes. Sid’s passion for ADA’s mission was not only personal, but also a passion shared by his entire family - his wife Sandy has completed several marathons with him, and the entire family has participated for many years in Step Out and Tour de Cure. Since joining the ADA family, Sid and his family have raised over a half million dollars locally. Sid also dedicates his huge heart, passion and time to Swollfest, Magnolia School, MDA, The ROAR Project, The Drew Rodrique Foundation and finding a cure for Huntington’s Disease.

In his professional life, Sid served as Operations Manager at world-famous Pat O’Briens Bar for 25 years before his retirement in 2008. A recognizable fixture greeting guests from around the world, Sid’s warm personality and contagious smile helped develop countless strong personal and professional friendships over the years. Since that time, Sid has found a new professional passion using his interest in art and photography to create unique works of art which lead to the creation of Sid Seruntine Studios, LLC. His creative pieces can be found in galleries throughout the Greater New Orleans area. Currently, Sid also works as a sales representative for Disabilities in Action marketing the Action Trackchair. He realized that accepting this new position it would help him further his passion of helping people by providing an opportunity for those with mobility disabilities to have the freedom to venture off into new terrain.

Sid is married to Sandy Jerry Seruntine, is the father of Stacey (32) and step-father of Nicholas (33). He resides in Metairie, LA.
