On June 1, 2012 the Greater Greensboro Area Father's Day Council will host its sixth annual Father of the Year Awards dinner at the Grandover Resort. The evening will begin with a reception that features a silent auction. To date, the Greater Greensboro Area Father's Day Council has honored 23 amazing men in the Triad area. The Father’s Day Council has a dual mission: to identify and honor fathers who have demonstrated the ability to balance their personal lives, to serve as a role model for their children, and to help make a positive difference in their community; and to raise funds from the Father of the Year Awards dinner to benefit the American Diabetes Association.
