Sponsors of the Stop Diabetes Movement

To change the future of diabetes, we must dramatically increase awareness about the magnitude of this devastating disease and build passion around the cause so that we achieve the audacious goal of stopping diabetes once and for all. In addition to providing financial support, the following companies are helping to raise awareness by featuring key messages about the stop diabetes movement in their internal and external communications. Join the movement and help Stop Diabetes by supporting the companies that support the American Diabetes Association.

Beachbody.com
Beachbody.com, creator of the nation's most popular in-home fitness and weight loss programs, will help promote Stop Diabetes and educate consumers through messaging in their marketing materials and ongoing consumer communications.

Catherines
In honor of Diabetes Awareness Month, Catherines is launching the "Round Up to Stop Diabetes" fundraising campaign. When you shop at any Catherines store in the month of November, you can help by rounding up the total amount of your purchase to the next dollar. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the American Diabetes Association.

Catherines is a chain of specialty fashion stores for plus size women. The company will also donate $1 from the sale of their Fashion Shopper Tote, up to $50,000, to support the Association.

Visit a Catherines store near you for more information or to donate. To find the nearest store, visit catherines.com. Together, we can stop diabetes.

Gold's Gym
On Saturday, November 7th  at  locations across the country, Gold’s Gym will host a special “Burn-a-thon” in local Gold’s gyms to raise funds to Stop Diabetes – you can join the movement by pledging a donation to the fight against diabetes while working out and “burning off” calories. Start your Saturday off right – go to Gold’s.

NutrisystemD
Nutrisystem D will donate $5.00, up to $100,000, for each individual who shares a story on stopdiabetes.com through December 31, 2009. Be sure to join the Stop Diabetes movement by sharing your story and don't forget to ask your friends to share their story too.

Rite Aid
During American Diabetes Month in November, Rite Aid is selling Stop Diabetes Pin-Ups for a $1.00 donation that goes directly to the Association. And, they are providing a free educational booklet, “Diabetes Care”, to help you better understand diabetes and offer some everyday solutions for managing your health. Stop by your local Rite Aid to learn more about diabetes and buy a Pin-up to support the movement.

Save-A-Lot
In 2010, Save-A-Lot will feature "Stop Diabetes by Eating Healthy" in-store displays in their 1,200 food stores across the country. The display will help you learn how to prepare healthy meals on a budget, offer you recipes from the American Diabetes Association that you can prepare in your own kitchen, and provide helpful information about diabetes and how to join the Stop Diabetes movement. Be sure to visit your neighborhood Save-A-Lot and check out the display.

Solvay Pharmaceuticals
During American Diabetes Month, Solvay is supporting Stop Diabetes by sponsoring the fall issue of the NIH Medline Plus magazine with a special focus on diabetes and the Association’s new movement:  Stop Diabetes. Medline Plus magazine is a quarterly health care publication that reaches legislators, policy makers and health care leaders nationwide – all who are important decision-makers in both the fight and the future of diabetes.
