A Tribute to Frederick L. Brancati, MD, MHS
Colleagues and friends are invited to a tribute by the American Diabetes Association's Epidemiology and Statistics Interest Group in honor and in memory of our beloved colleague, mentor and friend, Frederick L. Brancati. Fred passed away on May 14, 2013 after a courageous battle with Amyotropic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). He was a distinguished physician scientist who made significant contributions to the field of diabetes epidemiology. In 2011, Fred was the recipient of the American Diabetes Association’s Kelly West Award. A tribute to Fred will occur during the 73rd Scientific Sessions on Sunday, June 23 at 3 p.m. in Room S-100a at the McCormick Place Convention Center, West Building in Chicago.
