Did you know?

Introducing the new diabetes.org

Every 20 seconds, someone is diagnosed with diabetes. Yet, in a recent survey conducted by the Association, Americans earned a failing grade in diabetes awareness. To meet the changing needs of people affected by this growing epidemic, the Association has launched the new www.diabetes.org as well as taken a fresh approach to this eNews. The web site provides an engaging community with customizable tools and support, in addition to the evidence-based information that has always brought people to www.diabetes.org. Both the site and this companion e-publication will help you learn more about the people, programs, and services offering hope and help regardless of where you or your loved one is in their experience with diabetes.

So check it out. And tell us what you think.

Only 2 days left to meet the Triple Match Challenge

Liberty Medical is demonstrating its commitment to stop diabetes with an offer to match donations dollar-for-dollar, up to a campaign total of $25,000. But the best part is that if we can raise $25,000 by November 15, Liberty Medical will fund an additional $25,000 grant. That means your gift could have three times the impact in the fight against diabetes. We only have a few days left to meet our goal of raising $25,000. Please help us get there. Make a donation today.

Your gift will allow us to reach even more individuals and families living with diabetes and help bring us closer to our goal of finding a cure for diabetes.

When you think of it, nearly every American is affected by diabetes in one way or another. Nearly 1 in 4 people either have diabetes or are at risk for type 2. Don’t forget the millions of family, loved ones and caregivers whose lives are touched by all types of diabetes. Tell us why you want to Stop Diabetes. Your words could provide support, inspiration, or even just a smile to others. Nutrisystem D will donate $5.00, up to $100,000, for each individual who shares a story on stopdiabetes.com through December 31, 2009.
