Dear Ones,
This year, all fundraising has gone online, and I am now doing my own personal "event" to raise funds for the American Diabetes Association.
I have been walking for ADA since 1993. Your generosity has raised over a quarter of a million dollars! I can't thank you enough the progress made in education, technology, and research has dramatically improved the lives of all those affected by diabetes.
As just one example, I have gone from 8 injections and 10 finger prick tests daily to a pump I change a few times a week and a sensor I change 3 times a month--and they talk to each other and adjust my insulin levels while I'm sleeping!
Sadly, over 4,100 people are diagnosed every day with diabetes. More than 30 million adults and children in the United States are living with this terrible disease. It's a 24/7 job that none of us applied for and that gives us no vacations or time off. It's a job we'd all like to quit--and you can help make that possible.
When you donate:
- You spread awareness of the devastating effects of diabetes.
- You advocate for a child discriminated against in school because of diabetes.
- You fund life-saving research.
- You provide access to community programs and free resources that help those living with diabetes.
Thank you for making a generous donation to this cause that is so important to me.
With love and gratitude,
Hillary
