John Wallis Ivy

January 24, 1929 June 11, 2014

With his children and angels gathered 'round him John peacefully left us to join his beloved Ann and, reunited with her, began his life in heaven on June 11, 2014.

John was born to Lester and Mary Ivy in Waco, Texas. Along with his brother Lester Jr. and sister Marcella he was raised and attended school in Waco. John joined the United States Army Air Corp in 1946. He was stationed in occupied Japan at the end of World War II. John was honorably discharged from the newly formed United States Air Force at the end of his tour in 1953.

John had fallen in love with aviation and chose it as a career. Upon discharge from the U.S. Air Force he became a mechanic for United Air Lines. He began working for United in Chicago but soon found himself transferred to Los Angeles where he met the love his life and future wife Ann.

John wanted to be in the air and see the world though so at the first opportunity he left United and joined Pan American World Airways where he had a career as a Flight Engineer lasting thirty-eight years. He married Ann and their honeymoon and first adventure together was a drive across the U. S. from Los Angeles to New York so John could start his new job with Pan Am. The newlyweds settled on Long Island where their daughter Mary was born.

The airline industry can be a nomadic life and soon the young family moved back across the country to San Jose for a short time before moving to Miami where their son Terry was born. Within two years the now growing family moved back to San Jose where their daughter Ann was born. As luck would have it they would never move again and they raised their family in San Jose.

John was an avid tinkerer and was more likely to fix something rather than buy a new model or version. When Ann needed help with her crafts. John was her handyman who would make templates and then do piece work to help her finish her projects.

When health issues struck Ann he was by her side, helping her to fight and win the battle against breast cancer giving her all the emotional, physical and psychological help he could muster. He also gave her every ounce of love he could to help her.

John was an original parishioner of Church of the Ascension Catholic Church starting out in the 'barn' where services were initially held and helping to bring to fruition the parish as it is today. John and Ann stayed intimately involved with the Church and community that revolved around it throughout their lives. John was a proud member of the Men's Club and Usher at the 5:00 p.m. Saturday mass.

John was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years Anna. He is survived by his children: Mary (Alan) Marten, Terry (Deborah) Ivy and Ann (Byron) Mau; grandchildren Michael, David and Steven Marten, and Erin and Kenneth Mau; nephews Charles Brown and Robert Brown and niece Marilyn Woolverton, nephews John Scheffer and James Scheffer and nieces Linda Gyorka and Ceil Jones and their families. John is also survived by an extensive network of friends reaching across the years and around the world.

As we now know, this was the only greatest replace that CS:GO has seen up to now. Tons of of weapons are now offered and traded every single second by way of the Marketplace, and weapons drops and crates after every aggressive or informal match assist to spur the weapons trading onwards.
