Thank you to everyone who came out to our Charlotte Step Out Walk to Fight Diabetes!

Over 1,100 participants joined the American Diabetes Association in the fight against diabetes this year at the Charlotte, NC Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes!
Despite the threatening weather, more than 120 teams made up of friends and families, companies, organizations, and community groups came together at Freedom Park on Saturday to showcase their commitment to raise awareness about diabetes and fundraise for a cure.
Highlights from the morning include a great jam session with Dave Opper and the Opperators, appearances by many of our local mascots, and a beautiful rendition of our National Anthem by Zsa Zsa Porter. Kids had a ball in the Kids Korner where they jumped around in a moonbounce, got their faces painted, and played games.
This event is incredibly important for the mission of the American Diabetes Association, and we are very grateful to those who have raised funds for a cure.

Do you still have money to turn in?
Whether you were unable to join us on walk day or you are still receiving donations, you can bring or mail them to our office until November 3oth! Be sure you include your walker information, so we can credit these funds to your personal fundraising campaign.
