Register. Fundraise. Stop Diabetes.
Did you know that 1 in 3 children in the United States faces a future with diabetes? The American Diabetes Association works everyday to change the frightening future that diabetes has in store, but we need your help. Together we can stop diabetes. Take the first step today by registering to walk in our local Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes event.

Event Route: Step Out with Honorary Chair Nancy Foster, First Lady of Long Beach and more than a thousand walkers at Shoreline Park to fight diabetes! Enjoy scenic Rainbow Harbor as you stroll past the area's quaint shops and restaurants. Walkers continue through the downtown marina overlooking the legendary Queen Mary. Convenient rest stops and fun surprises are located throughout the route. As walkers arrive at the finish line, they are greeted with a hero's welcome followed by snacks, live entertainment, product sampling and other fun activities.
Every participant raising a minimum of $125 will get an official 2009 Step Out T-shirt on the day of the event. Raise even more money to FIGHT diabetes and you could be eligible for awesome Thank You Gifts! Child appropriate gifts are also available.
Are you a Red Strider? Raising a total of $125 for Step Out: Walk to fight diabetes, earns you a "Pat on the Back Pack!"
