Our Goal: | Raised:
Last year, nearly 4,000 walkers came together to raise close to $900,000 to help Stop Diabetes! Join us this year at one of our 2 walk locations as we celebrate our Red Striders (those who are living with type 1, type 2, or gestational diabetes) and promote diabetes awareness.
This year, we have combined both our Step Out Buffalo Grove and Step Out Chicago walks to be listed on this one website, www.diabetes.org/stepoutchicagoland! Make sure to choose your walk location when you register! If you have registered for the September 19th Buffalo Grove Walk, your Walk Center will still have the date "September 20th" as your Walk date. This is due to a website update, and will not affect your registration.
We Step Out to do our part to Stop Diabetes and take steps to improve our health! Participants are changing the future and making a positive impact in the lives of those who are affected by diabetes. You can too!
Step Out participants are committed to walk and raise money in this inspirational event not because 29 million people in the United States have diabetes, but because they walk among us in our lives and at the event.
Once you register, you'll be given your very own web page and will have access to lots of tools to help you fundraise your Step Out Center. You'll be able to customize the page with your reason for walking, send emails to ask others to join you or donate, and even download Facebook and smart phone apps. And of course, your Step Out Specialists (ADA staff) will be here to help all along the way!
Check back often for updates on the Step Out Walk!
