The safety and health of people living with diabetes, their families, our supporters and volunteers are our number one priority. With that in mind, we have decided to host our events VIRTUALLY.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic in early 2020, the American Diabetes Association® (ADA) has followed the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and other health authorities. It is with the greatest caution and the priority of the health and safety of our volunteers, advocates, employees, partners and friends that we have decided to host our 2021 events virtually.

We are excited to announce for 2021 the Tour de Cure: Michigan will now be known as Step Out: Michigan. You can still ride, run or walk virtually with us on August 29, 2021. New year, new name!

The 2021 Step Out: Michigan offers you the opportunity to help us celebrate our 30th anniversary and the impact we’ve made together in a new engaging virtual experience from home or wherever you are. Funds raised will support lifesaving research, education and advocacy to support the millions of Americans living with diabetes and their loved ones. All teams and participants can register now for the 2021 Step Out: Michigan and participate virtually at home or in your local neighborhood.

ADA Michigan staff will be in touch with you soon to share more about this new virtual journey that will both inspire and motivate!
