Help my Stop Diabetes. For myself, my daughter, and many others I love touched by this disease!
Hello to all you wonderful folks who support my annual Step Out efforts (and hopefully to new supporters as well!) I am so happy to announce to everyone, a change in my personal story with diabetes. After several years of denying that I needed to, I started taking insulin at the end of October 2011.
Initially I had some issues to work out about the "defeat" of going on insulin for the rest of my life. Well, "defeat" has turned into success with a capital S. It only took a month or so to get my blood sugar stabilized. Amazingly enough, other parts of my life have stabilized right along with it. After a lifetime of battling bipolar depression and mood swings, I have experienced six months of happiness like I never knew. Did taking insulin ruin my life? Heck no, just the opposite.
I guess the message for all of you out there is thanks for the support and please keep helping! The person you have been supporting through Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes, is feeling great and ready to renew his efforts to find the cure. Hope that you can all continue to support my campaign with your generous donations. For me, and the 26 million American's who have diabetes.
Can you donate $100, $50, or $25 today and help move us closer to a CURE? Remember it's tax deductible and goes towards and amazing cause. Think about those loved ones you have who have diabetes and please donate today if you can!
Thanks a million,
