As you all know my son Ryan was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in July 2007. This year I will be cycling in the American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure fundraising event on May 19th in Topsfield, MA. As you know every parent wants to see their child(ren) grow up  happy and healthy. Well with Diabetes it is hard to be totally happy as a young child having to poke yourself numerous times a day. Each day Ryan has to check his blood sugars by pricking his fingers and he also has to inject himself with insulin.
