I was diagnosed about 4 years ago and it was quite a surprise.  Even though there was a family history of Diabetes, I had none of the pre-diabetes warning signs that I might be at risk.  I went from excellent blood sugar numbers at my annual physical to having blood glucose numbers in the life threatening category less than a year later. I am a big supporter of having an annual physical ... without that checkup my diabetes and all its complications could have gone undetected for years.

The funds I (and all the other Team B.A.D. riders) raise will be used in the fight to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
