Support Me in Tour de Cure!

Hello friends and family! I am happy to announce that this will be my second year participating in the American Diabetes Association's annual Tour de Cure event in Kennebunk, Maine. I've not only signed up as a team captain but I've also committed to riding 100K (62 miles)!!!

Please join me in the effort to Stop Diabetes by making a contribution to support a cause so personal to me.

For those who may not know my history living with Type 1 Diabetes: This year marks my 29th year living with diabetes. Not a day goes by when I'm not reminded I have to take insulin in order to stay alive and work at keeping my blood sugars under control so that I can continue living a long and "normal" life.

The dollars raised for the American Diabetes Association fund research, provide services, and give voice to those denied their rights because of diabetes. I believe in the work they do, and I invite you to join me in this effort. More than 25 million Americans live with diabetes, and your support can and will make a difference in their lives.

One of my favorite all time quotes:  Knowledge is life... The diabetic who knows the most lives the longest - Elliot Joslin.  This is why I forever will be an educator of diabetes to others and why I am so passionate about supporting the ADA.

Please help by making a donation - large or small - to support the work of the American Diabetes Association. My goal is to raise 1,000.00.

Thank you for making a generous contribution to this cause that is so important to me!
