I am riding because the American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure is so much more than a cycling event to me. It is my opportunity to change the future and make a positive impact in the lives of those who are affected by diabetes. 

I am committed to ride and raise money in this inspirational event not because 26 million people in the United States have diabetes, but because I personally know MANY of them, and I want to do something about it.

I am riding for my wife Gina's 40th Birthday, but more importantly to celebrate her 39 healthy years living with diabetes, due to the efforts of so many to improve the resources available and technology utilized including the ADA! 

I am riding for Gina's dad, Alan, the kindest man I have ever met, who is no longer with us due to this challenging disease!!

I am riding for my two brother-in-law's, Al and Jeff, who have joined the Type 1 Diabetes Team as well!!!

I am riding for all of the Girls I have seen turn into Women thanks to the efforts of the Barton Center for Diabetes Education in North Oxford, MA, where I met my beautiful wife over 20 years ago as Counselors!!!!

Finally, I am riding for my two sons, Ryan and Nolan, with the hope that we can Find a Cure so that they never have to live their lives with Diabetes!!!!!
