Just in our little group, Team Bicycle Alley, we all know someone whose life has been affected by diabetes in some manner, and you probably do too.  Diabetes is a terrible disease which afflicts 26 million people across the United States, and for which there is no known cure.  We at Team Bicycle Ally Cycling Club ride because we want to help change that.

At Team Bicycle Alley Cycling Club we have a mission statement (really!):

Team Bicycle Alley is a cycling club established to promote physical fitness, camaraderie and civic responsibility to cyclists of all abilities.

It is our belief that with civic responsibility comes social responsibility.  As a club, we have embraced the Tour de Cure and will be gearing up, clicking in and heading out in an effort to help to change the future by making a positive impact in the lives of so many who are affected by diabetes.

Some of us will be riding in the two-day, 150 mile journey, while more than a few of our brave souls have committed to the seven-day, 550 mile trek through (hilly) New England!  Our goal is to raise $32,000 in pledges for the 2013 Tour de Cure: New England Classic.  Each of our riders take part at their own personal expense so that all of the money we raise goes directly to the American Diabetes Association. 

We are always looking add to another teammate to our ranks and we?d love to have you join our team, but if you can't join us, please support us!
