Working on diabetes research at BD gives us a perfect excuse to form a team to support the cause. One of the most important things a person with diabetes can do is to exercise, and cycling is an enjoyable and practical way to make exercise part of their daily life.

We are committed to ride and raise money because as part of our work at BD, we are learning about the challenges that persons who live with diabetes face every day. We are aware that without real progress in ways to prevent and treat diabetes, our country will soon be faced with a major health care crisis.  We ride because we all know a friend or family member with diabetes, and perhaps have even lost loved ones to it. We ride because we want to make a difference.

By making a donation or joining our team, you will be helping the Association provide community-based education programs, protect the rights of people with diabetes and fund critical research for a cure. (Remember the federal budget sequester will impact funding for all research, diabetes included, so fundraising is all the more important!)

Our team is asking for your support. Please make a donation to one of our team members or become one of us by joining our team. When we bring together dedicated team members and kind donors, the power we have as a group far outweighs what any of us could do alone.
