6 Years and still going strong - Ready to ride again on Team Max

Tour de Cure - Team Max

It's that time of year again - ready to start the summer with the American Diabetes Tour de Cure bike ride.

This is a big year for Max. He is 8 years old now and will be riding his own bike on the 10 mile route.  The next day he will be heading to camp for the first time.

The camp for kids with Type 1 diabetes is supported by The American Diabetes Association.  It is wonderful to have this camp available for the kids who would not be able to attend a regular camp, and for the parents as well who certainly deserve a break from the daily care required to meet their child's needs.  (Although, needless to say Jenny is apprehensive to have Max leave to overnight camp for an entire week).  The ADA financial support for this camp is crucial to provide the medical staffing needed to serve these campers.

So we ask for your support again this year to keep us pedaling and providing support to Max and to all the many others in our communities with diabetes.
