Chesapeake Bay Tour de Cure
Join us for second annual Chesapeake Bay Tour de Cure on May 18, 2013 where 750 riders of all levels join forces in the fight to Stop Diabetes® and raise critical funds for diabetes research, education and advocacy in support of the American Diabetes Association.
Tour de Cure is a family cycling event with bike routes designed for everyone to participate.
10 Mile Family Fun Ride: New to cycling? Our 10 Mile Family Fun ride is for you! This route, open to all ages and ability levels, stops at Cottingham Farm where you can rest by the Goldsborough Creek, enjoy healthy snacks, family activities, and even tour this certified organic farm!
25 Mile Fitness Ride: Take it up a notch with our 25 Mile Fitness Ride! Enjoy the long meandering wooded backroads of Talbot County and get a little taste of downtown Easton on the same route!
55 Mile: Challenge yourself with the 55 Miler! This ride will take you through the beautiful, verdant farmland of Talbot County and along the precious waterways that meander through the Chesapeake Bay watershed area. Take a ride on the Bellevue--Oxford Ferry and enjoy gorgeous waterfront rest stops.
100 Mile Century: Ready for a century ride? There's no better way to experience the incredible scenery of Talbot County. NEW THIS YEAR: Our 100 Mile riders are invited to participate in a Speed Zone along the back end of the route!
All routes have fully supported rest stops throughout and supply and gear vehicles circulate to ensure your comfort and safety. There is no better way to take in the gorgeous landscape of the Eastern Shore!
Enjoy a festive atmosphere including breakfast, live music from Kentavius Jones, a delicious lunch, libations by the Wishing Well, a carnival presented by the Cub Scout Pack 129, massages, team photos, product sampling, and more!

The American Diabetes Association and the Talbot County Office of Tourism is proud to present the first annual CHESAPEAKE WELLNESS WEEKEND taking place May 17-19! Join us for free community events throughout Talbot County, including cooking demonstrations, farm tours, health tips from local experts and more! Thousands of people with diabetes participate in Tour as "Red Riders". Red Riders are the reason we ride—they are given a jersey to proudly wear on the day of the event.
Beyond the recognition, Red Riders are part of a community that inspires us to ride and raise money to Stop Diabetes.

Team Red
Team Red is for Red Riders (participants with type 1 or type 2 diabetes), their family, friends and anyone else who is looking to join with millions of others who want to Stop Diabetes! Any rider who isn't already on another team can join Team Red.

If I don't have diabetes, can I join Team Red? YES! You can join Team Red, which is made up of Red Riders AND those who support Red Riders. This is a team for anyone who doesn't already have a team.
