Welcome to My Tour de Cure Web Page!

Please support Me in the Tour de Cure! As many of you know, my father Monte had Diabetes. Sadly, dad lost his fight on December 24th 2012. He had been doing well and had diabetes under control as his diet and weight had improved greatly. He was wheelchair bound due to his diabetes and suffered a fall out of his chair where he tragically broke his neck. After losing my mother in February of 2012 and now my father, this cause is of even greater importance to me. I am participating in the American Diabetes Association's annual Tour de Cure event this year in honor of my father. Cycling has made a huge difference for me as I have lost 50 lbs. and am in the best shape of my life. I am determined to keep Diabetes out of my life and to continue to raise money to find a cure for those that have it. I am asking you to join me in the effort to Stop Diabetes by making a contribution to support my ride. As this is my second tour (Ended with 55 miles last year), my goal is to ride a minimum of 62.5 miles which is a metric century (100 kilometers) The dollars we raise for the American Diabetes Association fund research, provide services, and give voice to those denied their rights because of diabetes. I believe in the work they do, and I invite you to join me in this effort. More than 25 million Americans live with diabetes, and your support can and will make a difference in their lives. Please help by making a donation - large or small - to support the work of the American Diabetes Association. Or, why not join me on the day of the event? Become a participant and side by side, as teammates, we can work together to Stop Diabetes! Whatever you can give will help! I greatly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress. Thank you for making a generous contribution to this cause that is so important to me! Brian |
