I will be cycling over 100 miles in the American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure fundraising event. I ride for my dad & grandfather who both developed Type 2 Diabetes, and for myself to help prevent it.  My dad struggled with his diabetes for years and it contributed to his failng health before he died.  My grandmother has really kept a closer eye on my grandfather now, but he still has the pain of finger pricking & insulin shots everyday.  (Something I hope I never have to learn to deal with.)
