SUPPORT ME IN TOUR DE CURE!

My name is David Hawkins and I am a member of the Golds Gym National Team (Lake Ridge/Lorton). I have participated in the Tour de Cure cycling event over the last 15 years to support the American Diabetes Association. Once again I will be joining thousands of riders in the effort to Stop Diabetes. Diabetes is a disease in which the body does not produce or properly use insulin. It is a disease that has deadly serious consequences and there is no cure. Diabetes impacted my own family claiming the life of my beloved mother. I was also diagnosed adult onset type 2 diabetes in 2012 shortly after a severe cycling accident.

I am asking you to join me in the effort to Stop Diabetes by making a contribution to support my ride.

The dollars we raise for the American Diabetes Association fund research provide services and give voice to those denied their rights because of diabetes. I believe in the work they do and I invite you to join me in this effort. More than 25 million Americans live with diabetes and your support can and will make a difference in their lives.
