This is my opportunity to change the future and make a positive impact in the lives of those who are affected by diabetes.  

My husband was diagnosed a few years ago, and has been working hard to change his life and live longer for himself and his family; I ride for him!  My dad was diagnosed about 17 years ago; I ride for him!  I lost my grandfather 11 years ago who lived with diabetes for as long as I can remember; I ride for him!   Both of my in-laws have diabetes and battle with the various struggles that it brings on everyday; I ride for them! And my husband lost his grandfather to diabetes; I ride for him!

I cannot think of a better way to support my husband, or my family, in their fight with diabetes. I cannot think of a better way to honor those loved ones we have lost...this is why I ride! 

I am committed to ride and raise money in this inspirational event not because 26 million people in the United States have diabetes, but because I personally know some of them, and I want to do something about it.
