The Tour de Cure has a fundraising
minimum because we want to make a difference directly in the Northwest
Arkansas community for people affected by this disease. Here are some local
programs that your fundraising helps to support:
- Research for type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes
- Camp Aldersgate for children affected by diabetes
- Free Diabetes Expo on August 3rd
- Family Link mentoring program for families affected
by diabetes
- Advocacy at the local and state level
- Education materials. Our mission is to find a cure
but also to teach people how to manage their diabetes until that cure is
found!
Just think about it:
An event with 650 participants that
has a $15 entry fee would raise $9,750 for the charity
An event with 650 participants that
has a minimum fundraising of $150 would raise $97,500!!!
We are here to put on a well-
supported event, bring the community of Northwest Arkansas together, and to STOP Diabetes!
|
Raise $150 or more and you will receive these amazing event weekend perks:

Fundraising Facts: Did You Know...???
-
Sending Emails -
through your Tour Page to your friends, family and co-workers has a bigger
impact than you may realize. Fundraising more than doubles from
an average of $128 with no emails sent to $286 by simply sending less than
10 emails. This increases dramatically to over $1000 raised on
average for those who sent over 100 emails!
-
Updating Your
Personal Tour Page -
makes your goal to fight diabetes more personal to your family and
friends. Your story is more compelling and people will want to
share it with others. Those who did so increased fundraising from an
average of $85 to $347 last year!
-
Self-Donating - shows your personal commitment to this cause and sets
the ultimate example for those who you are asking to support you. Again,
this more than doubles the average fundraising dollars from $140 raised by
those who did not self-donate to $338 by those who did. Check out some fundraising ideas that may tie into some
of your other interests with Fundraising Ideas A-Z!
