Fundraising Honor Roll

Support Me and my team in Tour de Cure!

I am participating in the American Diabetes Association's annual Tour de Cure event this year and am riding 84 miles of rolling road. I am asking you to join me in the effort to Stop Diabetes by making a contribution to support my ride, and the research to find a cure.

The dollars we raise for the American Diabetes Association fund research, provide services, and give voice to those denied their rights because of diabetes. I believe in the work they do, and I invite you to join me in this effort. More than 25 million Americans live with diabetes, and your support can and will make a difference in their lives.

Please help by making a donation - large or small - to support the work of the American Diabetes Association. Or, why not join me on the day of the event? Become a participant and side by side, as teammates, we can work together to Stop Diabetes!

Whatever you can give will help! I greatly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.

Thank you for making a generous contribution to this cause that is so important to me!

Training up dates:

25-March With six weeks to go before the big day (hoping its going to be a little warmer and less damp than today), training is going well, regually covering 30 to 45 miles with some good hill climbs. Feeling great on the bike. Looking forward to the longer rides starting next month.

8-April Only 40 days to go till the tour, it's starting to get warm the factor 100 sunscreen has been brought! Last weekend and this Saturday were both 50 mile rides. Both went very well. Its been so good to ride with the team. This Saturday we rode in the MS spring fling, lovely supported ride great weather and a chance to refresh my memory on mass starts! Next weekend is a non-riding weekend as I am heading to Boston to run the marathon. The miles begin to increase from here on - it’s going to be fun but hard work training under the North Carolina sun. Thank you for your support!

22-April Less than one month to go! Boston recovery is going well, this weekends ride was shorter than I had hoped for but given that Boston went better than I expected I am not worried. I have the endurance for the 85 miles. Next weekend is the first of two 70 mile rides, before the tapper. Thank you so much for all your support, looking forward to tour!

6-May: 12 days to go, feeling ready and comfortable with the distance. Really looking forward to riding with so many people for one cause. Its very humbling and so much fun. Now the final preparations for the big day!

13- May! Only a few days left, I am really looking forward to the tour!
