2013 Event Highlights

THANK YOU for Supporting the 2013 Wichita, Tour de Cure!

As we wrap up the 2013 event, we know you may have a few post-ride questions.  If you are a rider in the Wichita, Tour de Cure, please see if your questions are answered below.  Should you require additional follow-up, email RaeAnn Wirths at rmoreno@diabetes.org

THANK YOU for helping us in our Mission to Stop Diabetes!

Fundraising/Registration

Q: Where can I mail additional donations that I have received?
A:  You can mail additional donations to the local ADA office at:

608 W Douglas, Suite 100
Wichita, KS 67203
*Be sure to include a deposit slip or a note stating who the donations are for so we know who to credit.

Thank You Gifts

Q: I tried to order my thank you gift and it says I need a certificate number and authorization code. What do I do?
A: Thank you gifts are sent out after the ride. Everyone has until June 11th to raise funds that apply towards Thank You Gifts. ADA staff will email you your certificate number and authorization code in mid June, along with instructions on how to order your gift.

* Early Arrival THANK YOU GIFTS: If you reached the $500+ fundraising level, by April 26th, and did not specify otherwise, we ordered $500+ level fundraising jerseys for you.  If you did not pick up your fundraising jersey prior to or at the ride, you can pick them up, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, at the ADA office - 608 W Douglas, Suite 100, Wichita Ks 67203.

Offline Donations (Cash, Checks, Matching Gifts)

Q: I sent in offline donations (checks, cash, matching gift forms) to the office but they haven’t posted to my name online yet. Why?
A:  All offline donations (checks, cash and matching gifts) that are mailed or turned in to the local ADA office will not appear automatically on your web page.  To see them reflected in your online total, you will need to enter them manually.  You can add offline donations to your page by:

1.       Logging in to your Tour Participant Center at www.diabetes.org/toursedgwickco.
2.       Click on the “Progress” tab at the top of the page.
3.       To the right, you will see a link to “Enter Check/Cash Donations” under the Progress Tools.
4.       Enter the donor information. If the donor is already in your address book, make sure to enter their email
address so a new entry is not created.  Please note – how you enter the donor’s name is exactly how it will
          display on your fundraising page.
5.       Click “Add”
6.       The donation will now be added to your status thermometer and your fundraising scroller.

Event Photos

Q:  Where can I find the event photos?
A:  We have uploaded some of the event photos from the 2013 Tour de Cure to Flickr.  You and your loved ones now have the opportunity to go online and look at/download photos from the event for free.  Please note - more photos are on the way, so come back and see if you can find more of your memories posted online.
