Event Highlights
Thank you to everyone who helped make the 2013 Tour de Cure a great event!

Congratulations to Steve Bird, the winner of the New Belgium cruiser!

Tour de Cure is more than just a cycling event. It's a life-changing event. A day full of fun and excitement where riders of all levels join forces in the fight to Stop Diabetes® and raise critical funds for diabetes research, education and advocacy in support of the American Diabetes Association.
Bring your family, friends and colleagues and join us for a the Tucson Tour de Cure, a ride that highlights the beauty of the Sonoran Desert and the Santa Catalina and Tortolita Mountain ranges.
Enjoy some breakfast before cycling one of our improved routes, starting and finishing in Oro Valley and winding through Catalina, Oracle, by the Biosphere and into San Manuel (depending on your choice of distance). The Tour is a ride, not a race. Whether you are an occasional rider or an experienced cyclist, there is a route just for you.
Upon returning refresh yourself with delicious food, music and fun for the whole family! It's a great way to make a big difference and help the American Diabetes Association STOP DIABETES! We thank you for raising money to help fund critical research that improves the lives of those living with diabetes, that sends children with diabetes to summer camp and that increases awareness for the entire community.
So take the Ride of Your Life and sign up today for your 100K, 50K or 10K!

Why We Volunteer
"I am a Type 1 diabetic and have been insulin-dependent for 50 years. In January 2013, I was awarded a Certificate of Achievement and the Joslin Fifty-Year Medal by the Joslin Diabetes Center. I also received the Lilly Diabetes Journey AwardsTM 50-Year Medal from the Eli Lilly and Company.
Why do I volunteer with the American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure? Having successfully lived with diabetes for 50 years, I want to encourage others to know it's possible. I want them to celebrate 25, 50, 75 years or more of a life well lived with diabetes."
