Help Make a Difference!

Pedal power works!

The funds I raise will be used in the fight to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

No matter how small or large, your generous gift will help improve the lives of more than 23 million Americans who suffer from diabetes, in the hope that future generations can live in a world without this disease. Together, we can all make a difference!

Thank you for making a generous contribution to this cause that is so important to me!

2012 Team Skunk Works Cruises into 4th Place!

To all my sponsors from last year: thank you for your support in the 2012 American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure fund-raising event. Thanks to you, the American Diabetes Association's 2012 Tour de Cure was a huge success! With your generous donation, I reached a personal high of $2,025 and Team Skunk Works® placed fourth overall with a total of $24,414.Last year, I rode 35 miles in a little over three hours, along with my son Stephen. At the 20 mile check point near Point Fermin, we took a little "historical" side trip up to Fort MacArthur and Angels Gate Park, home of the Korean Bell of Friendship. Fort MacArthur is a former United States Army installation that is now a museum. It's actually named after Lt. Gen. Arthur MacArthur, father of Douglas MacArthur. The Bell of Friendship is a massive and intricately-decorated bell and pavilion that was donated in 1976 to the people of Los Angeles by the people of the Republic of Korea to celebrate the bicentennial of the U.S. independence, honor veterans of the Korean War, and to consolidate traditional friendship between the two countries. The bell is patterned after the Bronze Bell of King Songdok, which was cast in 771 A.D. and is still on view in South Korea today. As in past years, it was a beautiful day in Long Beach with temperatures around 70 degrees. The partly cloudy sky kept riding conditions perfect. This year, 33 members of Team Skunk Works® participated in the ride and your donation helped set the pace in the fight against diabetes.

Once again, on behalf of myself and Team Skunk Works®, thank you for your support!
