Stop Diabetes

            Hello and thank you for visiting my Tour de Cure web page. My name is Steve Moore and I will be participating in an event that is very special to me the American Diabetes Associations Tour de Cure - Ship to Shore in Long Beach on April 28, 2013 and I will need your support to reach my fund raising goal of $2500.00.

            I am a type 1 diabetic and understand the struggles that those living with diabetes have to deal with on a daily basis. There are no vacation days from diabetes it is a disease that requires constant monitoring and attention from the person living with diabetes. There is no cure, but diabetes can be managed with the proper medical care and lifestyle changes. I am currently using an insulin pump and continuous glucose monitor to control my diabetes and I am doing very well, but not everyone is so lucky. There are people who struggle everyday trying to control their sugar levels and feel that the battle is being lost. You can help by supporting me with a donation or by joining my team and riding with us as a JJ/Monrovia Cyclists Against Diabetes team member. The Johnson and Johnson Company will pay your registration fee (choose JJ/Monrovia Cyclists Against Diabetes under National Teams).

All funds raised will support education and research that will bring us closer to a cure. I would greatly appreciate your support or participation. With over 26 million Americans living with diabetes I?m sure you know someone who could be your reason for getting involved.
