Help Make a Difference!

According to the CDC, there are over 25 million people in the US with diabetes and over 3 million people die each year from diabetes or diabetes related issues.  These numbers will double by 2030.  Healthcare costs for Diabetes run about $174 Billion annually, 13% of US hospital days are Diabetes related and over 32% of Medicare spend is attributed to the Diabetes population.  Diabetes impacts us all one way or another and we can all help make a difference.

Pedal power works!  Each mile I ride, each dollar I raise will be used in the fight to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

$7,500 = 100 Mile Challenge!..... It's Back..... !!!

Here's the deal....... I signed up for the shorter ride......however, as with previous years, several friends have challenged me to ride the 100 mile course.  If my contributions hit $7,500 I've told my "friends" that I'll change and ride the 100 mile course..... 

$20,000 = "Shaved Head" Challenge! ... NEW ... !!!

Last year I shamelessly begged for donations and shaved my mustache (after 32 years). This year: If my contributions hit $20,000, I'll shave my head. 

 ..... Whoa!!!  Did I really say that...? ....

Yes, I'll do my best impersonation of "Howie Mandel, Charles Barkley, Michael Jordan, Andre Agassi, Bruce Willis, Paul Shaffer".

So, crank up those contributions and force me to crank up to 100 miles!!!  The challenge is on.  I rode the 100 miles in 2008-2012 thanks to your strong contributions.  Help me ride the 100 miles again this year.
