Fundraising Honor Roll

2013 will mark my 6th consecutive year in the Napa Valley Tour de Cure.  It also marks the 16th year for Team Bio-Rad.  As a way to increase my commitment to the 2013 Tour, I have once again taken on the role of Team Captain of Team Bio-Rad.  I am looking forward to serving Bio-Rad in this role to improve on our amazing success and record accomplishments in 2012.

 

In 2012, over 26 million people in the US (8.3% of the population) and over 245 million globally have diabetes. Nearly 2 million people over the age of 20 in the US were diagnosed with Diabetes in 2010 alone.  If current trends continue, 1 in 3 Americans will develop diabetes sometime in their lifetime, and those with diabetes will lose, on average, 10-15 years of their life.* 

Although I do not have diabetes, I am touched by the stories of the many of my friends and colleagues impacted by diabetes and inspired to join this effort for the sixth consecutive year to help find a cure for diabetes.
