On May 5th, I will be cycling in the American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure fundraising event in Napa Valley.  This is near and dear to me; not only do I enjoy biking, but I've been a diabetic nearly all of my life.  I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when I was 6 years old, and have had a great team of doctors that have continually improved my treatment regimens and health over the decades that I have lived with the disease.  I am amazed at how much technology has improved over the years, and in the advancements being made in diagnosis and treatment with continued research.  It has personally improved my health and life.
