Support Me in Tour de Cure!

I am participating in the American Diabetes Association's annual Tour de Cure event this year. I am asking you to join me in the effort to Stop Diabetes by making a contribution to support my ride.

The dollars we raise for the American Diabetes Association fund research, provide services, and give voice to those denied their rights because of diabetes. I believe in the work they do, and I invite you to join me in this effort. More than 25 million Americans live with diabetes, and your support can and will make a difference in their lives.

Why is this cause so important to me?

My family has an extensive history of diabetes. I have seen the devestating effects it can have on people and the people that they are close to. I would like to help fund the research that will help my family and other families like mine to live healthier, happier lives. I believe in this so much, that it is actually what I am dedicating my life to. This summer I will begin attending medical school. In addition to earning my MD, I also hope to earn a Masters in Public Health. I want to provide health care to people in need and families at risk for diabetes. With proper care and knowledge we can prevent many cases of diabetes and improve the quality of life of those with diabetes.
