I will be cycling in the American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure fund-raising event on March 13, 2010. Last year, your generous contributions made the APS Power Peddlers one of the top fundraising teams (#2)!
This will be my 7th year participating in the Phoenix Tour de Cure.
Along with the fundraising and bike riding, I have also been working with the ADA on this event. This is my fourth year volunteering on the Tour de Cure planning committee!
Pedal power works!
Each mile I ride, each dollar I raise will be used in the fight to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
No matter how small or large, your generous gift will help improve the lives of the more than 18 million Americans who suffer from diabetes, in the hope that future generations can live in a world without this disease. Together, we can all make a difference!

My Diabetes
I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (formerly know as juvenile diabetes) on my 25th birthday. It was initially found through my participation in Healthquest at work. I use an insulin pump to deliver a constant stream of insulin to my body and "dial it up" at mealtime so my body can utilize the carbs I've eaten.
