Your passion, commitment, and energy made the Houston Tour de Cure a huge success. We couldn't have done it without you!
More than 950 participants registered to ride, run, and walk with us on September 22 and we have raised more than $617,000 of our $1,000,000 goal. Can you help us get there?
Please join us in thanking our local sponsors, vendors, and the volunteers who have supported the Tour throughout the year. Their generosity played a huge role in this year's success.
Just because the event is over doesn't mean that we have crossed the finish line just yet! Here are some important reminders:
Recognition Gift Deadline: You have through October 22 to continue fundraising for an official Tour de Cure jersey, zip-up wind vest if you raised $500 or the “Champions” jersey or hoodie sweatshirt if you raise $1,000. If you have reached these marks, be sure to watch for emails in the coming weeks asking for your choice of gift and size.
Just log-in to your Participant Center and keep up the fundraising momentum. We truly appreciate your dedication to helping us achieve our collective goal, and for helping to bring us closer to our ultimate goal, a life free of diabetes!
Post-Event Fundraising: Your Participant Center will remain open for online fundraising, and cash/check donations can be sent to our local office at the address below. Please include a note with your name so we can credit the gift to you.

Matching Gifts: Take a minute to check out our matching gift search and see if you or any of your donors work for a company that matches gifts. Typically all that's required is filling out a short form and including a donation receipt. Some companies will even match what you collect as a participant.
Event Photos and Videos: Our event photos are coming soon. Other photos taken by volunteers will be posted soon on our Facebook page. Follow along on our Houston Tour de Cure Facebook page and make sure to tag yourself and any of your fellow participants.
Event Feedback: What did you like? What can we improve? We want to make the Houston Tour de Cure the best event it can be, so please be sure to fill out the survey. Always know you can reach out to us with any feedback.
Committee Recruitment: Want to help plan the 2019 Tour? Our Committee is always looking for new members to help with recruitment, publicity, logistics, fundraising and so much more. If you or anyone you know is interested contact our team.
We hope you enjoyed the Tour as much as we enjoyed putting it on for you. On behalf of the American Diabetes Association, the Committee, and the 30 million people living with diabetes, thank you for bringing us closer to a life free of diabetes and all its burdens.
